Arran Active Ltd is based on the beautiful Isle of Arran in Scotland, a breath-taking small Island on the west coast known across the UK as ‘Scotland in Miniature’. Easily found on Brodick sea front and only a minutes stroll from the ferry terminal.
As Scotland's largest independent and family run outdoor clothing and equipment supplier we are delighted to stock a broad range of products including technical equipment for mountaineering, hiking, camping, casual fashion and watersports. We hold stock from major brands such as Rab, Crag Hoppers, Mountain Equipment, Regatta, Paramo, O'Neill, Red & many more.
Our instore team are local experts and here to help you get the best gear for your next outdoor adventure. SUP and Kayak hire available.
Opening hours
Our store is always open 7 days a week; current seasonal hours are:
Monday – Sunday: 09:00-17:00
Closed days
We're proud to be open every day across the year and only close for five days each year:
- Christmas Day - 25th December
- Boxing Day - 26th December
- New Year's Day - 1st January
- Stock Take Closure - 29th January
- Stock Take Closure - 30th January

Kayak and Paddleboard Hire
We hire sit on top kayaks (both one and two person) and inflatable paddleboards (SUPs) year round. Head over to our hire page to book 365 days a year with no deposit to pay.
